Library Journal's Debut Book of the Month
9/15/2011 Theft of Swords has been named Library Journal's Debut of the month. They noted that:
German Contracts SignedThe debut of the month brings back the glory days of the "buddy" fantasy as a pair of mercenaries find adventure and trouble around every corner in Michael J. Sullivan's Theft of Swords.
Filled with adventure and clever dialog and featuring a pair of not-quite-heroes whose loyalties to each other provide them with their greatest strength, this epic fantasy showcases the arrival of a master storyteller. VERDICT Fans of Fritz Leiber's classic "Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser" novels should welcome the adventures of Hadrian and Royce. A winning debut for fantasy lovers.

Orbit Books to Re-Publish the Riyria Revelations Series6/4/2011 - In November of 2010 Orbit, the fantasy imprint of Hachette Book Group, entered into negotiations with author Michael J. Sullivan to re-publish his bestselling Riyria Revelations series. Orbit is a leading publisher of science fiction and fantasy, with imprints in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Orbit intends to re-package the six book series into a trilogy, creating two-book omnibus versions that will be named: Theft of Swords, Rise of Empire, and Heir of Novron. The intended publication schedule is to release the books in three consecutive months in November 2011, December 2011, and January 2012.
The concluding novel of the series, Percepliquis, was originally slated for an April 2011 release. In response to fan requests, Orbit has agreed to make a standalone version of Percepliquis available in both print and ebook formats independent of the omnibus version. The release of the final book will coincide with the Orbit omnibus release in January 2012. Michael Sullivan’s artwork will once again grace the cover for Percepliquis and the design and format will mirror the other five books in the series. This will allow those who purchased the original six books to complete their collections.
