Finally, The Making of the Death of Dulgath is available

Hello all, Robin here. As many may know I've been the bottleneck in the production of the behind the scenes book about the making of The Death of Dulgath. There are numerous reasons for this: shipping times for the Kickstarter, proofing of Age of Myth (soon to be released), yearly income tax preparation, and the fact that I'm the general manager for building a cabin about an hour and a half from our house.  I kept letting other projects jump ahead of this project, but as weeks became months I finally decided that I just had to push through this.

So, I'm proud to announce that the book is finally ready!  For those that don't know, this is a free ebook that came about as one of the goals of The Death of Dulgath Kickstarter. Michael and I have been compiling a wait list and we will be going through it in the next few days and sending out copies.

For those who aren't on the wait list, well you, too, can get your very own copy of this.  It's free, and all you have to do is send us an email ( Please put BEHIND THE BOOK: Making The Death of Dulgath as it'll be easier for me to see it. Just one thing you must know. This behind the scenes look at writing and publishing is written specifically to be a companion for The Death of Dulgath. Because of this it's riddled with spoilers. So finish up your reading of the main book first, then you can read this one.

Here's a list of the chapters to give you a feel about the book's content:

  • Prologue
  • Contracts and Deadlines
  • The Idea
  • Developing the Concept
  • Tools
  • Starting the Book
  • The Writing Process

  • The Curious Case of Stanley Necker
  • The Climax
  • The Rainbow

  • That’s All Folks
Thanks all for your patience!

  1. Thank you! I got it from my kickstarter page (thank god I didn't have to send an email then wait for a reply) and I'm reading it now. I am thoroughly enjoying it even only into the first few pages.

After whetting my appetite from the preview, I was chomping at the bit to get to Age of Myth already. At least this tides me over in the meantime and gives me a little fix of the world before June 28.
